Since the first days of lobby and in-room PCs, one problem has persisted: how to prevent guests from accidentally or deliberately degrading the computer. If there was only one way guests change the computer, resolution would be simple. However, because in most cases guests have access to network settings, have the ability to download and install software and programs, have no restrictions on visiting malicious sites, etc., it's nearly impossible to prevent a guest from having the ability degrade your PC's performance.
The scary fact is that in many cases, software called spyware can be installed on your public-use PC that tracks and sends guests' personal information like bank or credit card account numbers, usernames and passwords, website history, and other critical information.
